Will DeMarcus Lawrence have a bounce-back season?
Before the 2019 NFL season, the Cowboys were able to finalize a multi-year extension with Demarcus Lawrence. The extension for Lawrence was worth $105 million over five years, with him having the largest cap hit for a defensive end in 2020.
Despite earning his new contract, Lawrence would fail to live up to expectations last season. The two-time Pro Bowler would tally only five sacks, 16 quarterback hits, and two forced fumbles. His five sacks were the lowest mark of his career since 2016.
Nonetheless, for Dallas’ defense to improve in the pass-rushing department, they’ll need Lawrence to return to his 2017 and 2018 form. The question is, with Quinn no longer on the other side, will Lawrence have a bounce-back season for the Cowboys in 2020?
