3. Interior Defensive Line

The Cowboys are still in need of pass rushing help behind DeMarcus Lawrence. On the inside, they made some big name signings to improve the position.

The Cowboys signed Gerald McCoy to a three-year deal worth $18.3 million. This came after Dallas added Dontari Poe on a two-year, $8.5 million deal. These signings did a lot for the Cowboys. They added two veterans on the defensive line that will bring leadership and depth. Dallas also avoided using draft capital on the position and they were able to improve elsewhere.

Both Poe and McCoy spent 2019 with the Carolina Panthers. They combined for nine sacks and were big in stuffing the run game. With shaky defensive end depth, it is important for the Cowboys to clog up the middle. These two additions will go a long way in doing that.
