Jourdan Lewis
Jourdan Lewis has spent the first three years of his career in Dallas. He has played just 13 games, making four starts. Lewis seems to be the odd man out in defensive coordinator Mike Nolan’s scheme. Dallas added Diggs in the draft and will have Chidobe Awuzie on the other side.
It seems as though Lewis’ best chance for playing time would be in the nickel corner position. This is a spot that could be dominated by Anthony Brown, who recently signed a three-year, $15.5 million contract extension. This puts Lewis back on the depth chart.
While he gives the Cowboys depth, it could be smarter to try and include him in a package for a draft pick in 2021.
Nolan is looking for corners who have great size and length. These are not features that Lewis has and that could cost him a spot on the Cowboys’ roster. He is good enough to play in some scheme somewhere around the league, but that just happens to not be in Dallas.
