Cowboys: 3 veterans in danger of being training camp cuts

It has been a busy offseason for the Dallas Cowboys. They will enter the 2020 season with a new head coach, some shiny new contracts, and an unsure future under center.

The Jason Garrett era has ended in Dallas. The team has brought in Mike McCarthy to lead the team in hopes of turning in a Super Bowl contender. This is a place they have not been since 1995. Dallas has also not reached the NFC Championship Game since their last title with Troy Aikman and Emmitt Smith.

Amari Cooper agreed to a five-year, $100 million contract with $60 million in guarantees. He opted to remain in Dallas after receiving bigger offers from teams like the Washington Redskins. The Cowboys have been in the news because of their inability to sign Dak Prescott long term. He recently signed a franchise tag tender worth $31.4 million in 2020.

The Cowboys have a lot of decisions to make moving forward with Prescott. Other decisions include which veterans will be released prior to training camp. Here are three players that could be in danger of being let go.
