Cowboys Make the NFC Championship Game
Baby steps. The Cowboys haven’t played in the NFC Title game since 1995. This is the year they get there.
The NFL implemented a new playoff system this year and will only grant the No. 1 seed a first round bye. They won’t get that. It will be a longer journey for this year’s team but they will get there.
The NFC has question marks. It’s hard to imagine that a team that went 8-8 just a year ago can make such a leap. The Cowboys will win 11 games this year but fall short of that bye because the Saints will have a better record of 12-4, maybe 11-5 and get the bye via NFC record. The Eagles might make the the playoffs, but they will not be winning the NFC East.
The Cowboys will more than likely play the Saints in New Orleans in the NFC Championship game with both squads getting through teams like the 49ers, Seahawks, Vikings, and maybe the Buccaneers if Brady has a few sips from the fountain of youth. They will get their shot to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. Look for a late interception by linebacker Jaylon Smith to lead into the next prediction.
