Dak Prescott, Quarterback
Finally, and most obviously, the Cowboys’ fan base is keeping a close eye on what happens with franchise quarterback Dak Prescott. His future is a bit open right now without a long-term deal, but many think a contract will get signed.
However, the Cowboys and Prescott have had some issues negotiation with each other. The longer things continue dragging out, the more likely the two sides are two consider ending discussions.
Prescott needs to be re-signed after the season he had in 2019. He may not have led the Cowboys to the playoffs, but he completed 65.1 percent of his pass attempts for 4,902 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. Those numbers are worth paying for.
Dallas has to get something done or they will go right back to trying to find a new quarterback. Andy Dalton was signed to be Prescott’s backup, but it’s time to stop playing around and get a long-term extension done.
