Cowboys DT Gerald McCoy has undergone crazy body transformation

Gerald McCoy was one of the more intriguing free agency signings this offseason, heading to the Dallas Cowboys on a three-year, $18.3 million contract. It was a move that many believe will end up being a big one for the Dallas defense.

Last season with the Carolina Panthers, McCoy ended up recording 37 total tackles to go along with five sacks and two defended passes. The numbers weren’t bad, but they weren’t what some were expecting. McCoy wants to get back to being an elite defensive tackle in 2020 for the Cowboys.

So far this offseason, McCoy has been making big moves, especially when it comes to his body. In a newly shared post, McCoy looks to have undergone a crazy body transformation and is down 20 pounds from where he was last year.

Take a look at McCoy’s transformation for yourself:

Needless to say, this is a very positive sign for the Cowboys. If McCoy can get into tip-top shape, he can definitely get back to being an elite presence on the line.

Dallas is entering a new era of football in 2020. Gone are the days of Jason Garrett on the sidelines and former Green Bay Packers head coach and Super Bowl winner Mike McCarthy has taken over. It was clear that the Cowboys were focusing on beefing up their defense this offseason.

McCoy was one of the most feared defensive lineman in football just a few short years ago. At 32 years old, he may not get back to that level of play, but he certainly can still be elite. He is well on his way to getting back to that level.

Expect to see McCoy come into 2020 with a chip on his shoulder looking to prove that he is still one of the top defensive tackles in the game. This transformation certainly shows his dedication to becoming a star for the Cowboys.
