The Dallas Cowboys are coming off a huge victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 14 that has them atop the NFC East with a 10-3 record. They are now preparing for another big matchup in Week 15, as they will be hitting the road to take on the Buffalo Bills.

The Bills are coming off their own massive victory in Week 14 as they went on the road and defeated the Kansas City Chiefs. It was a must-win game for Buffalo, who entered the game 6-6 and with their playoff hopes hanging on by a thread.

The Cowboys know that their opponent will be motivated for the game on Sunday, as they will be also. It is a special game for cornerback Stephon Gilmore, who began his career with the Bills, playing his first five seasons in the NFL with the franchise.

“I’m just trying to prove myself … it’s just a little bit more fire I guess,” Gilmore said, before commenting on Bills QB Josh Allen. “They got Josh Allen, a great quarterback, he can throw the ball, he got a strong arm, he can run the ball. They got good receivers, so it’s going to be a big challenge for us but I think we’ll be ready.”

Gilmore made the Pro Bowl team in his final season in Buffalo before departing to play with their AFC East rivals, the New England Patriots. There he blossomed into a superstar, even taking home the Defensive Player of the Year award in the 2019 season.

Sunday will present another tough matchup for Gilmore, who will find himself lined up against star wide receiver Stefon Diggs for most of the afternoon. It is a challenge that Gilmore relishes and has lived up to throughout his career, including last week against the Eagles.

Matched up against A.J. Brown, Gilmore gave him fits throughout Sunday Night Football. While Brown had a few receptions in the game, Gilmore certainly won the war, forcing a fumble in him early in the game and holding him in check more often than not.

His performance has been imperative to the Cowboys’ success as they are without Trevon Diggs, who tore his ACL earlier in the season. Without Diggs, Gilmore has elevated into the No. 1 corner role and has shown no signs of slowing down despite being in his age-33 season.
