CeeDee Lamb was one of the top wide receivers in the 2020 NFL Draft class and many thought he would be gone in the first 12 picks. He ended up falling to the No. 17 overall pick where the Dallas Cowboys were happy to pick him up.
It was a bit of a surprise due to the fact that the Cowboys already had Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup on the roster. However, Lamb gives Dallas one of the top receiving trios in the game. Some even believe that all three receivers could end up with over 1,000 receiving yards on the year.
During the 2019 season with the Oklahoma Sooners, Lamb put up massive numbers. He caught 62 passes for 1,327 yards and 14 touchdowns. Those numbers averaged out to an impressive 21.4 yards per reception.
Mike McCarthy is the new head coach of the Cowboys after the franchise decided to part ways with Jason Garrett. He is a great offensive mind, but has never had a wide receiver group like he has this season. In Week 1, the Cowboys will get their first look at Lamb against the Los Angeles Rams.
All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at what the Cowboys should expect from CeeDee Lamb in his rookie debut.
