Dallas Cowboys: 5 Reasons They Will Win the NFC East

Dak Prescott

It is no secret that Dak did not live up to expectations in 2017. While his play was not the best, it was not solely his fault. The injuries to Tyron Smith, Sean Lee, and the Elliott suspension made things hard for him, but I expect him to have a bounce-back season.

Dak was at his best in 2016 when he had a healthy offensive line and when he had Zeke for every game. This year he will have that again. They drafted Connor Williams and signed Cameron Fleming to bolster the offensive line, and Zeke has stayed out of trouble this offseason. The Cowboys have also brought in wide receivers Allen Hurns and Deonte Thompson to give Dak more weapons at receiver.

The Cowboys’ offense will funnel through Zeke. Zeke is an elite running back and opposing defenses will have to load the box in order to stop him. With defenses stacking the box to stop Zeke, Dak will have more open looks at his receivers.

The Cowboys wanted to make this offense “Dak Friendly,” and by bolstering the position groups around him, they have set him up for success.
