Denver Broncos: 3 Biggest Reasons Denver Lost in Week 3 vs. Ravens

USA TODAY Sports

Poor Performance from Case Keenum

Week 3 was the worst performance in Case Keenum’s short career in Denver. On the day, Keenum had 192 yards on 22-34 throwing and one interception. He failed to throw a touchdown, which shouldn’t happen with the weapons he has.

Keenum was brought in to be the Broncos missing piece on offense, but he came up short in this game. I know you are playing a talented defense in the Ravens, but these are the games you need your signal caller to step up and deliver in.

Keenum was unable to do so, leaving the offense looking like a wreck. The running game wasn’t too bad, rushing for 120 yards on 24 attempts and two touchdowns as a team.

That’s phenomenal production from the ground attack, Keenum just needs to do his part.

Next week, Keenum will need to put Week 3 behind him and get ready for a possible shootout with the Chiefs, who are putting up points like they’re playing Madden on rookie. Rookie phenom Patrick Mahomes has the Chiefs sitting at 3-0 while throwing 13 touchdowns (most through three weeks in NFL history).

If Keenum can lead the Broncos to a victory in Week 4 against their division rival, fans will quickly omit his Week 3 performance from their memory.
