Denver Broncos: 3 Biggest Reasons Denver Lost in Week 3 vs. Ravens

USA TODAY Sports

Pass Defense Struggles Again

Coming into this season, the Broncos defense, even the secondary was expected to make some noise. Before Week 3, the defense had allowed 586 yards through the air. After Week 3, they’ve now allowed 863 yards, putting them as the 10th worst team against the pass in the NFL.

That shouldn’t be the case with the personnel they have. You have Chris Harris, Bradley Roby, and Darian Stewart returning, while you add Adam Jones and Tramaine Brock. That’s more talent than most secondaries in the league.

They have had injuries to their new additions, but there’s no reason the other guys can’t step up in their absence. It also makes it two straight weeks where they failed to get a turnover.

I know the offense struggled, but the defense needs to try to step up to help the offense get something going. This secondary will need to strap up their helmets next Monday night, ready for a Chiefs offense that contains lots of firepower.

If the secondary keeps playing the way they have through three weeks, you can kiss the chances of getting a win goodbye in Week 4.
