Denver Broncos: 3 Keys to Victory in Week 2 vs. Oakland Raiders

The first week of the NFL season is all wrapped up and it was an exciting one. The Denver Broncos came out with a 27-24 win over the Seattle Seahawks. It was a game that was closer than it should have been. Case Keenum threw three interceptions that helped keep the Seahawks in the game. Those will need to be cleaned up this week.

Despite the three interceptions, Keenum looked solid in his Broncos debut. He would finish the contest with 329 yards and three touchdowns as well. The main recipient from Keenum last week was Emmanuel Sanders. Sanders got off to a fast start right off the bat, getting 135 yards on 10 receptions and a touchdown.

The Broncos defense played well in their first game of the season. They completed the game with five sacks on Russell Wilson and forcing the Seahawks into three turnovers. Von Miller looked fantastic, wreaking havoc with three sacks and a forced fumble. The turnover came on a play where he ripped the ball out of Chris Carson‘s hands like it was his lunch.

The Broncos will be at home again in Week 2, where they will face their division rival Oakland Raiders. The Raiders struggled in their first game in the return of Jon Gruden as head coach. They lost 33-13 to the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football. All division games are more intense than other games, with both teams knowing the magnitude of the outcome.

The Broncos would love to begin their season sitting at 2-0. To get that done, I believe they will need to do a couple things in Week 2 to make that a reality.
