Denver Broncos: 3 Players Primed for Breakout Seasons in 2018

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Shane Ray, Linebacker

There are very few players in the NFL more athletically gifted than Shane Ray. When the Denver Broncos drafted him with the No. 23 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, many thought they were getting a major steal.

Unfortunately, Ray has struggled with injuries throughout his career that have set him back in a big way.

Looking ahead to the 2018 season, Ray knows that this could be his last chance with the Broncos. If he is able to stay healthy, Ray is going to have a huge season. He will be looking to prove that he is a capable NFL playmaker and will try to work his way back into the long-term plans for the Broncos.

Last season with Denver, Ray was only able to play in eight regular season games. He racked up 16 tackles and a sack in limited playing time. Denver is still hoping he can figure things out and this year is the perfect time to do so.
