Denver Broncos: 3 Players Primed for Breakout Seasons in 2018

Orlando Ramirez-USA TODAY Sports

Devontae Booker, Running Back

While there is still technically a competition going on at the running back position, there are very few doubts that Devontae Booker will end up winning the starting job. He showed flashes of big potential last season for the Broncos as a second-year player, which gave the team confidence that they could move on from Anderson.

In the 13 games that he played with Denver in 2017, Booker racked up 299 yard and a touchdown on 79 carries. He also caught 30 passes for 275 yards.

Booker’s ability to make an impact both on the ground and through the air separate him from any other running back on the Broncos’ roster.

Denver will need the ground game to remain consistent this season to keep pressure off of Case Keenum’s arm. Booker will be given a large workload, which is something he is more than ready for.
