Added Firepower on Offense

Denver’s offense began clicking as a unit during the final five weeks in 2019. Factoring in their new additions with Melvin Gordon who they signed in free agency, plus drafting Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler in rounds one and two, they’ve now established a bonafide nucleus for years to come.

While Jeudy and Hamler will require some time to find themselves at the NFL level, Courtland Sutton is coming off his first 1,000 yard receiving season.

The backfield duo of newly acquired Gordon and Phillip Lindsey, who’s rushed for over 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons will provide Lock with a superior run game to lean on as he figures out the kinks in year two.

Playing in the AFC West and having to chase the Kansas City Chiefs is no small order. Denver still lacks the firepower that Andy Reid’s high-flying offense brings to the table but the Broncos did take huge steps in matching up better against the majority of their opponents.
