The Denver Broncos are coming off of a humiliating Week 3 loss, suffering a 70-20 defeat at the hands of the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

Frustrations are beginning to boil over in the Mile High City, as offensive tackle Garett Bolles had a rather sobering quote following the game.

“I’ve been here for seven years and all I’ve done is (lose),” said Bolles, according to Pro Football Focus.

Bolles isn’t lying.

The 31-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Utah, was originally selected by the Broncos with the 20th overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Since Bolles arrived in Denver, the club has gone 35-66 without making a single playoff appearance. What’s more, the Broncos have posted losing seasons each time.

Denver has gotten off to an 0-3 start in 2023.

Things were supposed to be different for the Broncos after they acquired quarterback Russell Wilson in a March 2022 trade with the Seattle Seahawks.

Instead, Denver went just 5-12 in Wilson’s first season under center as the veteran signal-caller struggled mightily, throwing 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions while posting a passer rating of 84.4 in what was quite easily the worst year of his NFL career.

Wilson has not been quite as bad thus far this season, but he certainly wasn’t great on Sunday, going 23-for-38 with 306 yards, a touchdown and a pick.

Prior to joining the Broncos, Wilson had made Pro Bowl appearances in nine of his first 10 NFL campaigns and led the Seahawks to a pair of Super Bowl appearances and a championship.

That seems like ages ago.

Wilson aside, Denver has not made the playoffs since it last won a Super Bowl title itself back in the 2015-16 season.

The Broncos will aim to pick up their first win of the season when they take on the Chicago Bears in a battle of winless teams next Sunday.
