The Tennessee Titans will be playing their final game of the season when they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars this Sunday, meaning that Derrick Henry could be spending his last weekend in a Titans uniform.

Henry is in the final year of his deal in Tennessee after the two sides were unable to reach a long-term agreement going into 2023, and it’s looking like he and the Titans will be parting ways this offseason.

However, Henry is choosing not to dwell on his future and is only focusing on the Jaguars.

“We’ll just treat it as any other game,” Henry said, via Kayla Anderson of 104.5 The Zone. “Try not to get too caught up, too overwhelmed. Just enjoy the moment. Focus on finishing the season strong, going out there playing a good game overall as a team and hopefully getting the win.”

Through the first 16 games of this season, the University of Alabama product has rushed for 1,014 yards and 11 touchdowns while averaging 3.9 yards per carry. He has also logged 28 catches for 214 yards.

Henry, who turned 30 years old on Thursday, was originally selected by Tennessee in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

His first couple of seasons in the league were relatively uneventful, but in his third year, Henry broke out, registering 1,059 yards and 12 scores while recording 4.9 yards per attempt. He then proceeded to lead the NFL in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns the succeeding two campaigns, topping out 2,027 yards and 17 scores in 2020. That season, he posted a robust 5.4 yards per tote.

Henry was on pace to rush for close to 2,000 yards again in 2021, but an injury prematurely ended his year after just eight games. He rebounded to rack up 1,538 yards and 13 touchdowns last season.

The Yulee, Fl. native has made three trips to the Pro Bow while earning a First-Team All-Pro selection.

Derrick Henry and the Titans are 5-11 on the season.
