As the 2020 NFL season continues drawing closer, the Miami Dolphins are becoming more of a team to watch. With the big offseason they put together, fans are getting excited for a change. Tua Tagovailoa is a big part of that excitement.
Tagovailoa was selected by the Dolphins with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. At one point, he was expected to go No. 1 overall, but Joe Burrow ended up taking home that honor. Despite not going at the top of the draft, the sky is the limit for Tagovailoa with the Dolphins.
There is some uncertainty about what kind of role and playing time Tagovailoa will receive in year one. He suffered a brutal hip injury last season with the Alabama Crimson Tide. Even though there is concern, Tagovailoa has been very adamant that he can play this season and that he is back at 100 percent health.
During the 2019 season with the Crimson Tide, Tagovailoa was putting up big numbers. He completed a sizzling 71.4 percent of his pass attempts for 2,840 yards, 33 touchdowns, and just three interceptions. In addition to his passing numbers, he scored two touchdowns on the ground as well.
All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at two massive bold predictions for Tua Tagovailoa in his first season with the Dolphins.
