Miami Dolphins: 3 Keys to Victory in Week 1 vs. Tennessee Titans

It’s finally here, folks! The NFL season has arrived! Thursday brought us the kickoff of the 2018 NFL season, with the Atlanta Falcons losing a close game to the defending Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles. But the real deal comes today. Our first full slate of games in what seems like forever! Football is back, and with it so are the Miami Dolphins.

It feels nice to write about games that matter again. It seems like it’s been ages since the Dolphins played a game that truly mattered, but this Sunday couldn’t be more important. Most fans considered the season a loss last year right out of the gates, as starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill was lost for the season before it even started.

Now RT17 is back, and he has a full arsenal of weapons around him for the first time in his career. As Tannehill enters his age 30 season, it’s now or never for the Dolphins leader. That march starts today against the Tennessee Titans.

The Titans, unlike the Dolphins, achieved at least a modicum of success last season. They finished the year just above .500 and second in the AFC South, but did qualify for the playoffs. Led by Marcus Mariota and new starting running back Derrick Henry, the Titans look to return to the playoffs for the second year in a row.

Can the Dolphins start off the season on the right foot and take the sour taste of 2017 out of fans’ mouths? It’s not going to be easy, but here are 3 keys to a Miami Dolphins victory this Sunday.
