Dolphins: 3 potential running back options for Miami in free agency

Jim Brown-USA TODAY Sports

3. Lamar Miller, Houston Texans

This one is a bit of a mystery, as Lamar Miller is coming off of a season-ending torn ACL. Some believe he will come back just fine from the injury, while others don’t think he is worth taking a look at in free agency.

However, the Dolphins need to take some risks in order to get back to the playoffs. Miller is worth that risk. Before the injury, he was one of the NFL’s most underrated running backs and is still more than capable of bouncing back strong.

Miami needs a running back capable of being a dual-threat back, which Miller can be. They also need a running back who can break off the big play. Miller has great speed and athleticism when healthy, and if his knee is right, he could be exactly the kind of playmaker the Dolphins need.
