Carson Wentz Wins the MVP Award
While injuries have plagued Carson Wentz throughout his career, he has proven to be one of the leagues best when healthy. If Wentz manages to stay healthy this year, it is possible he finishes the season as the leagues MVP.
Wentz has a fantastic offensive-minded head coach, Wentz has weapons like he’s never had before, and after resigning Jason Peters to replace the injured Brandon Brooks, the Eagles have an excellent offensive line. While he has his doubters, there is no denying Wentz is very talented.
Perhaps Wentz’s best trait is his ability to extend plays despite not being necessarily a scrambling QB. Something he does better than many QBs is he keeps his eye’s downfield after evading pass rushers.
When some QBs feel pressure and panic, Wentz stays cool. Perhaps no better play exemplifies this ability than the incredible throw he made to Mack Hollins in a Week 2 loss against the Falcons.
Although at times his desire to make the big play can be costly, often it pays off. It is a very bold prediction, but it would not be shocking if Carson Wentz wins league MVP this season when considering the circumstances. He now has what he needs to finish what he started in 2017.
