Here we are in the middle of July and premiere pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney is still without a contract. He has mutual interest with many teams and one of them is the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Eagles could be in the market for a pass rusher. In 2019, Brandon Graham led the team with 8.5 sacks followed by Derek Barnett with 6.5. both players will be back in 2020 and they could have another piece along the defensive line. Howie Roseman has always been able to land big name free agents and Clowney could very well be the next one.

Philadelphia is in a two team race in the NFC East. They are coming off a 9-7 season that landed them the NFC East crown over the Dallas Cowboys. It will once again be between these two teams with the New York Giants and Washington far behind.

The longer that Clowney is on the market, the better it is for the Eagles. Here are three reasons why the dominant pass rusher could end up in Philadelphia before Week 1.
