With seven weeks already gone in the 2022 NFL season, only one team remains undefeated. That team would be the Philadelphia Eagles, who have been the biggest surprise of the year so far. At this point in the season, the Eagles appear to be a clear-cut front-runner in the NFC as a Super Bowl contender.

Jalen Hurts and company have looked dominant on the offensive side of the football. While he has been good through the air, the Eagles have relied heavily on their running game thus far.

According to CBS Sports, the Eagles are currently leading the NFL in rushing touchdowns with 13 on the season. Hurts happens to have six of those rushing touchdowns.

As the trade deadline continues to draw closer, the Eagles have been very active looking to make moves. Earlier this week, they acquired star pass-rusher Robert Quinn from the Chicago Bears. That was a huge move for the defense, but they may not be done dealing.

Prior to acquiring Quinn, the Eagles were reportedly interest in a trade for former Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey. He ended up being dealt to the San Francisco 49ers, but it’s clear that the Eagles would like to further bolster their offense.

Another rumor that has come out is that the Eagles have checked in on a trade for New Orleans Saints star running back Alvin Kamara.

It would not be shocking to see the Eagles look to swing for the fences at this point. They are all-in on competing for a Super Bowl, and a trade for a running back appears to be something they’re interested in. Kamara would be a massive addition, or perhaps Philadelphia could consider a trade for Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt.

Expect to continue hearing rumors about the Eagles over the next few days. For now, however, their rushing game remains dominant and they could look to improve that aspect of their offense even more before the trade deadline.
