The Philadelphia Eagles are heading into the NFL offseason after a very disappointing 2020 NFL season. When everything was said and done, the Eagles ended up with a 4-11-1 record. Heading into the offseason, the Eagles will be looking for help at wide receiver and Indianapolis Colts impending free agent TY Hilton could be a potential option.

Hilton has had a down season for the Colts, but did pick up his play towards the end of the season. He is still capable of being a very good player for a contender.

During the 2020 season with the Colts, Hilton caught 56 passes for 762 yards and five touchdowns. Those numbers weren’t what Indianapolis was expecting, but they aren’t bad. The Eagles should still have interest in signing him.

At the wide receiver position, the Eagles absolutely need help. Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson struggled once again with injury issues. Jalen Hurts took over as quarterback and will need more weapons next year.

FanSided took a look at Hilton’s upcoming free agency and they have predicted that Hilton end up signing with the Eagles.

For years, Hilton has been the primary focal point of the Colts’ offense. He was the favorite target for Andrew Luck for years. Now, at 31 years old, many don’t believe that he is a No. 1 wide receiver, but he could be a dynamic No. 2 option.

It will be interesting to see what the Eagles end up doing this offseason. They will have to make a decision on longtime franchise quarterback Carson Wentz. Many believe that he will end up being traded, possibly even to the Colts.

However, no matter what the Eagles do at the quarterback position, they will need more targets. TY Hilton may not be the superstar that he once was, but he will still be a sought after free agent who can make plays.

Expect to see quite a few teams show interest in signing Hilton this offseason. The Eagles may not end up being one of them, but it makes a lot of sense.
