Quarterbacks

The fact that Wentz was not named a Top 100 player for 2020 was insane. This is a quarterback who was in the top five a few years back. In 2017, Wentz was the favorite to land MVP through 13 games before suffering an injury. He threw for 3,296 yards with 33 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Wentz was healthy during the regular season in 2019. He led the Eagles to the NFC East title with limited weapons. He was still able to complete 63.9% of his passes while throwing for 4,039 yards with 27 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

This landed Wentz at the top of the Eagles’ single-season passing record. He is the only quarterback in franchise history to eclipse 4,000 yards.

There is a lot to prove for Wentz in 2020. First and foremost, he needs to prove that he is one of the top quarterbacks in football. Second, he must stay healthy and play every game, including the postseason.

In four years with Wentz as the starter, the Eagles have made the playoffs four times and he has played just one quarter. The 2020 season could be a breakthrough.
