Running Backs
The Eagles will enter the season with one of the thinnest running back groups in the league. They have a legitimate No. 1 in Miles Sanders but there is not much behind him. Boston Scott will serve as the backup.
In 2019, Jordan Howard began the season as the starter before the rookie from Penn State burst onto the scene. Sanders carried the ball 179 times for 818 yards and three touchdowns. He added 50 catches for 509 yards and three more touchdowns.
All together, Sanders totaled 1,327 yards from scrimmage. This is a number that will go up in year two. He made 11 starts as a rookie and if he remains healthy, Sanders will start every game this year.
Scott saw time at the end of last season and was productive. Ultimately, the running back position will be as good as Sanders is. He is a duel-threat back that can carry the load for an offense. In 2020, he will be used a ton and in a multitude of ways.
