Eagles: What to expect from WR DeSean Jackson in 2020

DeSean Jackson was re-acquired last offseason by the Philadelphia Eagles after his five years away from the franchise split between the Washington Redskins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It was a homecoming that fans were extremely excited for, but unfortunately injuries hampered the speedster in 2019.

When everything was said and done last season, Jackson played in just three games and caught nine passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns.

Looking ahead to the upcoming 2020 NFL season, Jackson is back at full health and is looking to get back to being the playmaking wideout that he has been throughout his entire career. The Eagles could absolutely use that kind of speed to help Carson Wentz and take pressure off of an also healthy Alshon Jeffery. Jalen Reagor was added in the 2020 NFL Draft to add more depth and playmaking to the offense.

At 33 years old, there are some differences in what fans are expecting from Jackson this season. He could end up being a major X-Factor or he could take a step back and simply be a role player.

All of that being said, let’s take a look at what the Eagles and the fans should expect from DeSean Jackson throughout the 2020 season.
