Todd Gurley had a disappointing ending to his Los Angeles Rams career, recording the lowest amount of rushing yards over the course of a season in his entire career. He will look to put together a strong Week 1 display against the Seattle Seahawks as a member of the Atlanta Falcons.
After eclipsing the 1,200-yard mark in each of the previous seasons, Gurley was only able to get 857 yards while he was going through contract disputes with the Rams.
Meanwhile, the Falcons rode Devonta Freeman as their primary back and had even worse success. Freeman recorded only 656 yards on the season with 2 rushing touchdowns total.
Atlanta needed to solve their rushing game and Gurley was looking for a chance to prove himself, and so the two came together in the offseason.
Now, preparing for the first game of the season, Gurley will take on a familiar foe but in a new uniform when the Falcons play the Seattle Seahawks. Here is what to expect in Gurley’s Atlanta debut.
