Falcons Will Give Gurley 20+ Carries
The only way that Atlanta is going to be able to keep pace with their division is if they can have a well-rounded offense. Having to compete against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New Orleans Saints already puts the Falcons in a tough position.
They clearly have the tools needed to be able to throw the ball, but in order to take the next step they need to be able to run the ball.
What better way to show the NFL that they can run the ball effectively than to pound their new running back in the season opener. If Gurley finds success (and there is reason to believe he will) coach Quinn will want to be able to slow down the game and keep the ball away from Russel Wilson.
Atlanta has not had a back who can slow down the game and punish a team in many years, but by showing their new skill set in game 1 the rest of the league will have to adapt very quickly to what will be one of the most versatile and dominate offenses.
