Early in free agency, the Indianapolis Colts elected to sign Philip Rivers to become the team’s new starting quarterback. Before joining the Colts, Rivers spent 16 seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers and was a fantasy football relevant quarterback for the majority of his career.

Although, last season, Rivers struggled with the Chargers, throwing for 4,615 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions. With his unorthodox throwing motion, Rivers would finish with only 235.5 fantasy points in 2019 (18th among quarterbacks). His 36 interceptable passes last season were the second-most in the NFL.

Despite his shortcomings a season ago, Rivers is now reuniting with Frank Reich and gets a chance to play his home games in a dome. While Rivers showed some signs of his age catching up to him in 2019, he should be able to return to being a viable quarterback in fantasy football again with the Colts.
