Matthew Stafford
Average draft position in Best Ball leagues: Pick 156
Average draft position in ESPN leagues: Pick 123
Similar to Roethlisberger, Matthew Stafford is coming off of a season-ending injury with the Detroit Lions. However, unlike Roethlisberger, Stafford was able to start in 136 consecutive games before his injury in 2019. That was the second-longest active streak in the NFL at the time (only behind Rivers).
In the eight games that Stafford played in before heading to injured reserve in 2019, he threw for 2,499 yards, 19 touchdowns, and five interceptions. Furthermore, he was on pace to have one of the best years of his career before suffering a back injury.
In terms of fantasy football, Stafford produced 23+ fantasy points in five of his eight games a season ago. Seeing that he has Kenny Golladay, Marvin Jones, Danny Amendola, and a serviceable offensive line, Stafford could be a massive steal in fantasy drafts in 2020. Not to mention, the Lions also added D’Andre Swift in the 2020 NFL Draft.
