Fantasy Football: 3 late-round running backs to consider drafting

The Washington Redskins are crowded at the running back position heading into next season. While that hurts the value of Derrius Guice and Adrian Peterson, it shouldn’t affect Antonio Gibson’s value in fantasy football.

In the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Redskins selected Gibson out of Memphis. He was mostly utilized as a versatile weapon in college, hauling in 38 passes for 735 yards and eight touchdowns in 2019. Gibson would also gallop for 369 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.

Even though some websites have Gibson listed as a running back, he’ll likely see more usage as a wide receiver in 2020. Especially with the Redskins lacking pass-catchers outside of Terry McLaurin and Steven Sims. Given Washington’s plan to give Dwayne Haskins the reins of the offense, Gibson could have a decent-sized role in 2020.
