Fantasy Football: 3 late-round tight ends to consider drafting

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

Jonnu Smith

Average draft position in ESPN leagues: Pick 167

Jonnu Smith is set to be the No. 1 tight end for the Tennessee Titans in 2020 after filling in for Delanie Walker in 2019. While Walker was sidelined with an injury, Smith was extremely efficient in his short time as the starter last season.

Even though he was hard to trust in fantasy football week-to-week, Smith caught 79.5 percent of his targets (second-most among tight ends). Only Kyle Rudolph finished with a higher catch percentage, catching 81.3 percent of his targets with the Minnesota Vikings.

Nonetheless, with Walker no longer with the Titans, Tennessee is likely going to configure ways to get Smith involved in the team’s aerial attack. Also, seeing that Smith garnered a 120.3 quarterback rating when targeted by Ryan Tannehill, he could be poised to break out in 2020.
