Fantasy Football: 3 reasons Aaron Rodgers is due for a resurgent season in 2020

The Green Bay Packers will enter the 2020 season with Aaron Rodgers still under center and with the pursuit of a Super Bowl victory. Meanwhile, fantasy football players will be seeking a bounce-back season in the stats department.

The 2019 season featured the second consecutive season of lower production from Rodgers than many have come to expect. With the Packers relying more on the running game, he ended up with just 4,002 passing yards and 26 passing touchdowns in 2019.

ESPN’s projection for Rodgers during the upcoming season features a noticeable regression in his impact. They estimate he will throw for 3,820 passing yards, 26 passing touchdowns, and eight interceptions, resulting in 265.79 fantasy points.

When looking at the projections for the rest of the quarterback position, ESPN anticipates Rodgers to finish 13th in fantasy football scoring. That seems low even with the Packers relying more on the running game under LaFleur.

With taking all of that into consideration, there are three reasons Aaron Rodgers is primed for a resurgent season with the Green Bay Packers in 2020.
