Fantasy Football: 3 sleeper tight ends to target in 2020

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

T.J. Hockenson

T.J. Hockenson got off to a blazing start in his rookie season with the Detroit Lions in 2019. In a Week 1 bout with the Arizona Cardinals, the Iowa product recorded six receptions for 131 yards and his first career receiving touchdown.

Following his stellar Week 1 performance, Hockenson owners in fantasy football thought they found a gem in the first-year tight end. However, a season-ending ankle injury and an inconsistent role in the offense derailed the first-round pick’s rookie campaign.

Altogether, in his final 11 games of the season, Hockenson combined for just 26 receptions for 236 yards and one touchdowns. Nevertheless, with Mattthew Stafford returning from injury and with a season under his belt, Hockenson is poised for a much-improved season in 2020 with the Lions.
