Fantasy Football: 3 sleeper tight ends to target in 2020

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

Jonnu Smith

The Tennessee Titans had quite a few players that suddenly became fantasy football relevant as the season progressed in 2019. Besides Ryan Tannehill, Jonnu Smith was another player that seized the opportunity he was given last season.

Amid an injury to Delanie Walker, Smith was asked to assume the starting spot for the Titans last season. In Walker’s absence, Smith was able to finish the season with 35 catches for 439 yards and three touchdowns. Not to mention, he also contributed six receptions, 59 yards, and a touchdown in Tennessee’s improbable postseason run.

Without a doubt, Smith built a decent rapport with Tannehill, who has shown that he isn’t afraid to target his tight end in the offense. Provided that the Titans don’t have many receiving weapons — outside of A.J. Brown — Smith should be worth taking a flier on in fantasy football in 2020.
