5. Antonio Gandy-Golden, Washington Football Team
The Washington Football Team is a complete and utter mess in the front office. At least there’s a chance Ron Rivera can keep the on-the-field side of things in order. Assuming everything doesn’t come off the rails, Gandy-Golden could become a star for Washington.
Washington doesn’t have a deep position on its entire offense. The wide receiver room is extremely thin with only Terry McLaurin standing out as a reliable option. That leaves many opportunities for Gandy-Golden to seize the No. 2 spot on Washington’s depth chart.
In fantasy football leagues, Gandy-Golden shouldn’t be a priority draft pick. If anything, his production will start small at the beginning of the season and then experience a massive uptick as the year progresses. By the time the fantasy football playoffs roll around, Gandy-Golden could be a significant contributor.
Listed at 6-4, 223-pounds, Gandy-Golden is similar in height and weight to Seattle’s D.K. Metcalf. While he lacks Metcalf’s 4.33 speed, Gandy-Golden knows how to use his body to shred secondaries.
If you want a better comparison, look at Zach Pascal in Indianapolis. Pascal finished 2019 with 94.3 points in standard leagues. That’s around the projected floor for Gandy-Golden.
