5. Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings
Justin Jefferson was a first-round pick of the Vikings in April’s draft. He had his breakout game in Week 3 against the Tennessee Titans. Kirk Cousins has been targeting Adam Thielen early and often but he has found his second option.
Jefferson finished with seven catches for 175 yards and a touchdown. This is an average of 25 yards per reception. Jefferson is a true deep ball threat and that will become apparent soon. Minnesota will be playing a fellow 0-3 team in the Houston Texans.
They have been allowing points at a high-level this season. The scheduling has not helped as they have played arguably the top three teams in the AFC so far.
The Texans as a whole are a question mark but their defense has been struggling. The Vikings were finally able to put a little offense together in Week 3 and Jefferson was a main reason.
