3. Chris Thompson/James Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars
With Leonard Fournette being cut, Thompson has become the easiest fantasy riser in the Jaguars’ running back rotation (with a tilt toward PPR leagues).
Undrafted rookie James Robinson has been listed as the No. 1 running back for Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts, so he might be on the positive side of an early-down work split with Devine Ozigbo.
The Colts have a solid defense, so the season-opening matchup isn’t great for any Jaguar. But the possibility of a negative game script lines Thompson up for solid action as the passing down back. Robinson might get 15 carries if he looks good enough to push Ozigbo to the background.
There is fantasy value to be pulled from Jacksonville’s running back mix. For Week 1 it’s Thompson and Robinson, with your lean depending on scoring format and perhaps a good bit of faith.
