3. Derrius Guice, Redskins
After two injury-riddled seasons to start his career, is this finally the time we see the Derrius Guice breakout? Well, if there was ever a time to buy-in on the potential of Guice it should be this season, as his stock is at an all-time low.
Right now, Guice is RB37 off the board with an ESPN ADP of pick 112.9. There aren’t too many late-round picks in that range that have Guice’s talent and his opportunity to control most of his team’s touches.
Guice will be battling with seasoned vet Adrian Peterson, newly signed Peyton Barber, and rookie Antonio Gibson. I don’t see any of them being a major threat to taking over the majority of the workload is Guice is healthy.
The Redskins have a great defense that will keep the Redskins offense in a lot of games. Guice should see a lot of positive run game scripts. If you can snag Guice as your 4th or 5th running back on your team, he can provide huge upside flex appeal throughout the season, of course, if he can finally stay healthy.
