Fantasy Football: 5 sleeper waiver wire targets following Week 1 action

4. Russell Gage, Atlanta Falcons

If you are looking for a wide receiver that is definitely available, it is Russell Gage. It is hard to imagine that Gage was drafted in your league, but he is certainly going to be one of the top pickups after his Week 1 performance against the Seattle Seahawks.

Gage is in his third season with the Atlanta Falcons. In 2019, he finished with 49 catches in 16 games. Julio Jones is still one of the top receivers in football but there is plenty to go around in Atlanta. Matt Ryan finished with 450 yards in the loss. Heconnected with Gage nine times for 114 yards.

Miraculously, Gage was one of three receivers with nine catches and finished third in yardage. Calvin Ridley was the only receiver to find the end zone and he did it twice.

This is not saying to go out and start Gage in Week 2. This is saying stash him on the bench until he proves to be consistent. Any receiver for the Falcons is a fantasy football option with the way they throw the football around.
