The Broncos invested a lot of their draft picks into wide outs. In particular, they drafted Jerry Jeudy and K.J. Hamler. With Courtland Sutton suffering a torn ACL in Week 1, the Broncos were hoping one of their draft picks would pop. But, Tim Patrick has been the man who has answered the bell for the Broncos.

In PPR leagues, he is currently ranked as the 46th WR heading into Week 7, being owned in only 23.9% of leagues. This week, the Broncos will be going up against a new and improved Chiefs defense, so it will be a tall task for the Broncos to move the ball. Especially, in last week’s game where both teams saw a combined 8 field goals made. Also, the Broncos wideouts dropped numerous beautifully thrown passes.

But, with all that said, I am investing some stock into Patrick for this week’s game.

Last week, Patrick posted 4 catches for 101 yards and 1 touchdown. In the last three weeks, he has posted over at least 14 points in fantasy. While the Chiefs have a top 3 passing defense, the same argument could have been made last week as the Patriots also rank in the 10 for pass defense.

Perhaps, last week’s matchup was tougher as the Patriots have the reigning defending defensive player of the year, Stephon Gilmore. Drew Lock seems to trust Tim Patrick and this week, I think he is viable option at the FLEX position.
