Tyler Boyd
This one falls into the category of a player who has been one of the best in the league over the last few seasons but is a bit of an unknown early on in the season. With a new rookie quarterback throwing the ball to Boyd there are reasons for doubt especially early on while Joe Burrow gets settled. But the upside with Boyd is undeniable.
Boyd ended each of the last two seasons with over 1,000 yards receiving and leads the league in receiving yards from the slot each of the last two seasons. And that was with Andy Dalton throwing him the football.
Now with Joe Burrow, Boyd should see his usage and stats go up. Boyd thrives on catching short easy passes and turning them into large gains. Burrow looks for his slot receiver as a first read and is not afraid to throw the ball over the middle.
Even with the offense needing time to click, Tyler Boyd is an under the radar type of player who could end up having a huge game is Burrow relies on him as a safety blanket. Overall, that’s a favorable outcome for fantasy football.
