Fantasy Football outlook for Colts QB Philip Rivers in 2020

Earlier this offseason, Philip Rivers signed with the Indianapolis Colts in hopes that he could contend for a Super Bowl. Upon his decision to join the Colts, many are wondering what that means for Rivers, in terms of his projections in fantasy football.

Just last season, Rivers had one of the worst seasons of his career in his final year with the Los Angeles Chargers. While the Chargers failed to make the playoffs, Rivers threw for 4,615 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions.

Surprisingly enough, his 23 touchdown passes were the lowest in his career since 2007. As for fantasy football, Rivers finished as the 18th highest-scoring quarterback, with a grand total of 235.5 points in ESPN leagues. However, since signing with the Colts, there’s been a sense of rejuvenation for Rivers, as he enters his 17th season in the NFL.

There’s no doubt that Rivers would love to put his 2019 performance behind him and impress in his first season in Indianapolis. All that being said, let’s take a look at Rivers’ fantasy football outlook for the 2020 season with the Colts.
