2020 projections: 223 carries, 1,025 yards, seven rushing touchdowns 48 receptions, 428 yards, three receiving touchdowns

Just by browsing social media and the internet, it’s evident that a bevy of people believe Miles Sanders is going to have a breakout season in 2020. Seeing how he performed as a rookie in 2019, there are definitely reasons for optimism for the former Nittany Lion.

In his first year with the Philadelphia Eagles, Sanders would contribute 1,327 scrimmage yards and six total touchdowns. Furthermore, Sanders finished the 2019 season with the most yards from scrimmage among rookie rushers. Also, with Jordan Howard no longer stealing touches, Sanders should see an extended role with the Eagles in 2020.

Although, there are two reasons that Sanders could disappoint in fantasy football next season. For starters, some people believe that Boston Scott is going to be utilized more in the offense. Of course, that would limit Sanders in the offense. In addition to that, the Eagles averaged 28.4 run players per game (seventh-most in the NFL) in 2019 — a number that is likely going to decrease due to Philadelphia adding more wide receivers for Carson Wentz to get the ball to. Sanders appears to be a decent early-round option in fantasy drafts. But similar to most guys, there are reasons to be hesitant about selecting him.
