Josh Jacobs
2020 projections: 258 carries, 1,280 yards, eight rushing touchdowns 33 receptions, 284 yards, two receiving touchdowns
Even though he compiled a spectacular campaign in 2019, it seems as if Josh Jacobs’ rookie season is going overlooked. The first-round pick out of Alabama led all rookies with 1,150 rushing yards and also had seven total touchdowns.
The most impressive aspect of Jacobs’ debut season was that he was playing with a fractured shoulder for a decent portion of the season. Despite his shoulder ailment, Jacobs would evade 81 tackles in his first year with the Las Vegas Raiders. His 81 evaded tackles in 2019 were the eighth-most among running backs in the NFL.
While Jacobs flashed a ton of potential as a rusher, the Raiders seldom used him as a receiving threat. The runner up for the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award would only corral 20 passes for 166 yards in his rookie season in 2019. If he can show improvement as a receiver and Las Vegas targets him more in the passing game, Jacobs could finish as one of the top-scoring running backs in fantasy football in 2020.
