Deebo Samuel

Coming out of South Carolina, Samuel was a wide receiver that excelled with the ball in his hands. Provided that, it didn’t take long for Kyle Shanahan to allow Samuel to play to his strengths, using him in a multitude of ways.

Altogether, in his rookie season, Samuel notched 57 catches for 802 yards and three receiving touchdowns. In addition to his receiving numbers, Samuel rushed for 159 yards and another three touchdowns. Not to mention, he scored 2.31 fantasy points per target (fifth-most among wide receivers).

Seeing that he has a stranglehold on the No. 1 spot for the 49ers, Samuel is worth adding as a WR2 or flex option in fantasy football leagues. As of right now, Samuel is being selected as the 27th wide receiver in Best Ball leagues and is the 26th wide receiver taken in ESPN leagues. If Samuel can produce more touchdowns in 2020 — which is expected — he could be a steal in fantasy football drafts.
