Brandon Aiyuk
Last season, the 49ers were able to acquire veteran Emmanuel Sanders ahead of the trade deadline. Sanders would arrive and solidify himself as the No. 2 option alongside Samuel. But with Sanders no longer in the picture, Aiyuk — one of San Francisco’s first-round picks — should see an immediate role with the offense.
In just two seasons at Arizona State, Aiyuk racked up a total of 98 receptions, 1,666 yards, and 11 touchdowns. He also contributed over 1,000 return yards during his time with the Sun Devils. While he wasn’t given many handoffs in college, Aiyuk is another player like Samuel that thrives with the ball in hands.
With that being said, unless you are in a dynasty league or a league that has more than the standard two wide receivers, Aiyuk likely isn’t worth taking just yet in fantasy football drafts. However, with how Shanahan utilizes his players, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if Aiyuk has some fantasy-relevant weeks in 2020.
