Wide Receivers
The Vikings have been an offense that has featured two high-end receivers for a few years now. With Diggs in Buffalo, this leaves Thielen with Jefferson on the outside. This is still good news for fantasy owners.
If Thielen is not a top 10 fantasy receiver, then he is No. 11. He has been as reliable as can be over the last three years. Thielen has emerged as such a treat that the Vikings felt comfortable trading Diggs. Injuries played a part in Thielen’s 2019 campaign. He missed six games but these were the first that he missed in his career. In 2018, Thielen was targeted 153 times and finished with 113 catches for 1,373 yards and nine touchdowns. This is the production that can be expected this season.
Cousins and Thielen have developed a strong connection in recent years. Minnesota is hoping that he could find the same connection with Jefferson. The LSU products put up massive numbers in a Tigers’ uniform. He finished with 111 catches for 1,540 yards and 18 touchdowns for the undefeated National champs. He has great ability and can turn into another reliable weapon for the Vikings. Minnesota will also feature Bisi Johnson and Tajae Sharpe, among others.
Jefferson is going to be a great value pick when it is all said and done. Thielen has second round potential, depending on the size of your league. Either way, you cannot go wrong with a Vikings’ receiver on your roster in 2020.
